Relieft pitcher Brian Shouse and the Milwaukee Brewers have come to terms on a one year $2 million contract.  Seems like a lot for a relieft pitcher that is 39 years old to be honest.  Last season Shouse pitched 47 2/3 innings and posted a 3.02 ERA.  Decent, but not two million dollars decent in my opinion.

Did the Brewers just sign him to have the arm in the bullpen and not worry about bringing a younger pitcher up from the minor leagues?  Can Shouse help the Brewers get into the playoffs on 2008?  Leavea a comment and let us know!

Welcome to a brand new Milwaukee Brewers Baseball BlogBrewersHomePlate will be blogging about everything involving the Milwaukee Brewers.  We will have game reviews posts after each game is played, articles about Brewers trades and rumors, and give you great opportunityes at Brewers tickets and merchandise!

Last year the Brew Crew came up just short of winning the National League Central Division as they finished two games behind their rivals to the South the Chicago Cubs.  This year, the Brewers are hoping to be in contention, and finish up on top and make it into the post season.  They could just be the next Colorado Rockies and suprise everyone while ending up in the World Series!

We hope you enjoy your time here at BrewersHomePlate, and hope you come back everyday.  We also encourage you to leave comments and take part in our discussion about the Milwaukee Brewers!
