Prince Fielder and David Ortiz will get to pick their teammates for the All-Star Home Run Derby. Major League Baseball announced on Thursday that Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers was chosen as captain of the National League squad and Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox was picked to be the American League captain.

The Milwaukee Brewers have designated right-hander Sergio Mitre for assignment, and recalled left-hander Zach Braddock and infielder Mat Gamel from Triple-A Nashville. Mitre is 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 22 appearances for Milwaukee this season. Braddock was on the disabled list because of a sleep disorder earlier this season.
